I'd like to get a beautiful, Gisele Bundchen-like body, be healty, and be able to eat whatever I want, whenver I want without putting forth any diet or exercise effort at all what-so-ever.
Is that really too much to ask?
Yeah, yeah, I know the answer to that question.
So I was sick this weekend (who's suprised?). Didn't do anything but lay in bed, down tylenol, guzzle coke, and pop mini reese's peanut butter cups. I don't think I saw a green veggie (or a veggie period) all weekend! I have a sore throat, a headache, and a nasty case of the snots. If there are any readers still out there, aren't you s0 glad you've kept with me thus far?!
Up until now, this blog has been a little whiny, a little snarky and painfully spotlights this writer's non-motivation (for working out that is).
As Scarlett O'hara said, "Tomorrow is another day," which is true, but there's also "No time like the present," so I guess I need to revise my strategy.
I believe that baby steps are in order. My first goal will be with dinner tonight.
Goal 1: Fix dinner at home instead of grabbing fast food. Green beans are a must.

2 Steps Back, 1 Step Forward?
Task 1: Get gym membership-----well, that hasn't happened yet. But the day is still young so there's a chance it could still happen before this week offically ends!
As for my raging Coke addiction it's still exactly that. A raging addiction. Yesterday, I guzzled like there was no tomorrow (cut me some slack, I worked all day and then had to come home to work on a paper and presentation for class today!). But out of pure guilt, I did drink a bottle of water. That's right, a whole bottle. And I didn't drown, or gag from it's lack of sugar and caffeine. Hooray me!
My problem is: how do I make time for working out when I have zero time left to spare?
Excuse me, I need some caffeine before I head off on my introspective journey.

Keeping to the Straight and Narrow
The title of this blog may have you thinking this is about a junkie on the lamb.
Sadly, the story is far less interesting (although not too far from the truth). In fact, it's not a story at all. It's an exercise blog.
Eeeek! What?!
That's right. I said (or, in this case, typed) "exercise blog."
If you haven't entirely given up reading this yet, I'll give you some background.
I'm an early 20-something female, about 5'5", and a hundred and.....HA! You thought I was going to give you my weight didn't you?! We don't know each other that well yet....but maybe further along in this relationship *wink*.
Sorry, got off topic. Anyway, I work full time AND am a full time student. That's right, my ass is pretty much on the go from the time I get up to the time I go to bed.
My vice is Coca-Cola (aka "coke"....ah, the title is becoming clearer now). Mmmmmm....it is the world's perfect beverage; chock full of caffeine, sugar, and calorie goodness! I drink it often and in large quantities.
My eating habits aren't much better. I grab food when I can, be it fast food or just a hand full of crackers. Breakfast is a very optional meal for me, I usually skip it in favor of a little extra sleep.
While I'm certainly not overweight, I definitely don't lead the healthiest of lifestyles. Now I've finally reached my point and the reason for this blog: I want to get healthy and feel better. To do that and keep myself motivated, I'm going to keep track of how I'm doing (both shortcomings and successes) as well as inviting criticism and encouragement from anyone who wants to give it!
Task 1: get a gym membership.
And away we go!
